Which mission is to:

Educate, preserve, and develop Home and Community-Based Programs that enhance the safety and well-being of California's most vulnerable residents in senior and adult communities.

After some consideration, we have realized that we have a common goal to provide quality and dignified care to all residents in California. With that as our primary goal, our collaboration aims to impact the community by adding resources for caregiver career training and compliance. So that way, we can reduce the risk for individuals living in facilities and Increase available caregivers with basic caregiver training to work in California Licensed Care Programs administered by Community Care Licensing (click here)

At Elegant Care Villa, we understand that caregiver training is essential to providing high-quality care. We're proud to host this November 08 our Caregiver Role in Development and Implementation of Behavioral Plan.

Caregiver Role in Development & Implementation of Behavioral Plans Training

Individuals with developmental disabilities have many strengths and abilities, but can at times exhibit maladaptive, or strange behaviors. Working with this clientele requires an understanding of the common triggers and meaning of maladaptive behaviors, and the skill set that a caregiver or DSP needed to manage them.

Learning Objectives

Understand what an individual's behavior may communicate.

Describe how an individual’s quality of life may influence behavior.

Identify how the environment may influence individual behavior.

Bring awareness to how the DSP's behavior may contribute to an individual's maladaptive behavior.

Identify triggers that may cause maladaptive behaviors.

How respect and value of individual preferences and choices result in fewer maladaptive behaviors.

This event is open to anyone interested in caregiver training, including Recruiting Caregivers, Direct Support Professionals, private duty caregivers, and the workforce.

If you want to find out more about our available training and information, along with access to previous training material from past events. We encourage you to become a member to be up to date with the latest skills and news regarding the caregiving industry in California.
